PRESS RELEASE

Technology company Syntegro is splitting into Synguard for access management and Syntegro for workforce management on 1 June 2022.

Workforce management specialist expands focus in response to international growth

Exponential growth and a product range that requires full attention led Syntegro, a Belgian workforce and access management technology company, to decide to split up into two separate companies. “Our software solutions are known for their flexibility. Although it is a standard SaaS solution with all its advantages, our software is highly customisable to our customers’ business-specific situation. This is unique in our business. But agility as a USP requires fast response times, which is much easier to do if you can focus on one market. As our turnover doubled over the past three years, we now have the opportunity to split the company in two. The best imaginable development,” says Frank De Weser, managing director of Syntegro. As of 1 June, Syntegro will fully concentrate on workforce management solutions. Access management goes its own way under the name Synguard, led by Bert Meert.

The absolute focus per sector which is facilitated by the split-up is a fine reward for the hard work of the past years. “It gives us air to breathe. Look, we have a product that is very suitable for flexible adaptation to customer needs. If we want to take full advantage of this asset, you have to be forward-looking and pick up trends even before the customer asks for them. Now that we are operating in an increasing number of countries and the HR sector is in a state of flux due to Covid, this reorganisation gives us the acceleration we need,” says Frank De Weser. “The antelope in our new logo is not random; it was chosen for its agility and speed.”

Agile and fast, that’s what we want our business organisation to be. In 2018, Peter Roelens, former owner of Nextel, became Syntegro’s main shareholder. He convinced Frank De Weser, at that time Strategy Director at telecom company Orange, to make the move to Beringen. Four years later, the figures speak for themselves. Turnover doubled. The number of staff went from twenty to fifty. Syntegro has high-end domestic and foreign customers such as KU Leuven, Volvo Group Trucks Central Europe (D), Farm Frites (NL), Aperam (int.), Saint-Gobain, Amsterdam UMC (NL), Beaulieu International Group, Le Crédit Lyonnais (FR) and Nationwide (UK). National and international partners such as Ascom (NL), The Belgian, ADP (NL), Equans and Assa Abloy (int.) work closely with the Belgian technology company. The client portfolio today covers Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. These successes are owed to a strong product and a dedicated team of specialists.
